Bottom-bracket cradle plus front/rear dropout or axle contact
Check the bottom-bracket shell and actual dropout contact, including obstructions, rather than assuming that avoiding a tube clamp solves every fit issue.
What this choice changes
The PRS-22.2 is an alternative when you want to support the bicycle at the bottom-bracket shell and a dropout or axle contact instead of using a tube clamp. That changes which parts need checking: bottom-bracket access, shell clearance and the particular dropout construction all matter. It is not an automatic compatibility solution for every carbon frame or proprietary axle.
The adjustable beam and two bottom-bracket supports allow the support position and balance to be arranged for the bicycle. Park Tool specifies a 76–114 cm cradle-height range and 360-degree rotation. Its 27 kg / 60 lb maximum assumes that the load is centred between the legs; the stated capacity does not remove the need to check the actual support contacts.
The manual illustrates 12, 15 and 20 mm thru-axle contacts and open-dropout configurations labelled 100, 130 and 135 mm. Axle diameter and dropout spacing describe different parts of the setup. The current carriage is described as adapter-free; the diagrams should not be read as a promise of a separate three-size adapter kit in the box. Work trays and the paper-towel holder are separate accessories.

Compare the axle-contact diameter and dropout configuration as separate requirements.
Its support arrangement uses the bottom-bracket shell and a front or rear dropout/axle contact. Those contacts must suit the particular bicycle.
They describe different things in the manual: thru-axle contact diameter versus an open-dropout configuration label. Match both relevant aspects of the setup.
Choose by the support points your bicycle permits and the access the repair needs. A PCS-10.3 tube clamp is a different arrangement, not a lesser version of the same contact.
