Chain-rivet driving; removable peening-anvil function
Identify whether your chain uses a master link, a connecting pin or a joining rivet that requires peening. A master-link plier serves a different connection and is not a substitute for this tool.
What this choice changes
The CT-15 is the choice in this group when chain-rivet work also calls for a peening operation. Driving a rivet and forming its end are different tasks: this tool includes a removable anvil for the latter on the Campagnolo chains named by Park Tool. Compare it with the CT-3.3 if you need a workshop rivet driver but do not need that additional operation.
A triple-width floating shelf locates the chain around the driving pin. Park Tool expressly lists 5–13-speed derailleur chains, including SRAM 12-speed Flattop and T-Type, Shimano 12-speed XTR and Campagnolo 13-speed Ekar. Its stated single-speed scope also includes 1/8 inch, 3/16 inch and half-link chains. Use the exact chain identification and joining method to make the final match; a tool accepting a chain does not make its old joining rivet reusable.
The supplied anvil and two spare #2987 driving pins are described as stored in the handle. Replaceable service parts make this a different bench purchase from a small emergency chain tool. The product illustration shows the assembled tool rather than a separate layout of every supplied spare.

The anvil and stored spare pins matter when you maintain different supported chain systems. They do not establish that replacement chain links or connecting rivets are supplied.
When the exact supported Campagnolo connecting rivet requires its end to be peened. The anvil adds that operation; the CT-3.3 and CT-5 do not supply the same peening function.
It addresses rivets. A compatible master link is a different connection; choose an appropriate link tool and follow the link maker’s reuse limits.
The selected description itemizes two #2987 pins, stored in the handle, together with the removable anvil. Joining rivets, chain sections and a separate hook wrench are not established as supplied.
